It is that time of the year and Luz has got out the Christmas stuff and has decorated our place the day before yesterday. Decorating does seem to be a talent Luz has. The tree (a fake reusable tree) is just magnificent. A true work of art. Which just further proves a previous point I have told people, that Luz should be a interior designer. She does have the talent for it I believe.
bama, on a MTV interview said that same sex marriage is a state decision. Which is disappointing to me. As it look for some time that he was agenst discrimination agenst one sexual preference. Of course this could have been a political move where he just trying to get a few extra votes. What ever the reason it make him look bad in my eyes.
By saying that this is a decision left up to the states he is granting parts if the united states permission to segregate and treat an enter group of people as second class citizens. All because of their sexual orientation.
It was not that long ago when we segregated blacks. Where we would have one drinking fountain that was for whites only. Then another identical drinking foundation for blacks. Heck, there are people who would like to to back to that. And I bet that each and evey one of them are for the continued segregation agenst homosexuals.
However, I would think that the man who ended don’t ask don’t tell. Would be supporting same sex marriage. I guess I was wrong
Okay. I love Papa Johns Pizza. Especially their garlic dipping sause. I often pay extra for many more of them litte cups off this sauce. Using them for many other thing. But one thing I really like it on is popcorn.
Oh my… It makes the best popcorn. I mix the sauce with some butter and pour it on top the the freshly popped, popcorn.
You got to try it. It will make a great family snake.
Well today is fathers day. And it is also the day that Elijah turned 7 months old. So it made father’s day feel just a bit more special.
For father’s day I attempted to spend as much time as I could with Elijah before work, even though it was not much and due to something we forget to do, what little time we had wad cut short as we all left the house to do, what we forgot to do.
With that said. What little time I had with this little angel, that I call son. Was tiime that was well spent. Heck any father son time, be it father’s day or not is time well spent.
Frankly, I can’t wait tell he is old enough to say the words himself… “happy father’s day, daddy!”
Well, Luz and wee-man are back home. I had to make a unplanned trip to California to pick them up. However, it did give us an excuse to spend a whole day together in a really nice rent-o car. So it was worth the trip.
With that said, I still feel exhausted as if I am suffering from jet lag. With my sleeping pattern all messed up now. Hopefully, by next week I’ll be back to normal.
Seeing Elijah after a month was something else. He has gotten so big and he really likes to interact with people. He much more vocal and has started to play with toys. Not to mention, he is now picking him self up on all fours. I suspect he will be crawling fairly soon. I do feel bad that I missed all this stuff, when he first started all this, but he is here now.
Luz, well as soon as she got home she already started doing her thing, redecorating the apartment with a bunch of things she had bring with her from california (plants, curtains, etc..). Today, we even got more stuff for her to decorate the apartment with. Including a bunch of sticker-like-things for Elijiah’s room. I swear she should actually be an interior decorator, or designer. Not only is she good at it, but she loves to do it.
Now, all we just need to do is just finish finding her car, then I’m going to take some vacation time with her. Maybe we’ll go camping together somewhere.
For over a week now, I have had the apartment all to my self, with Luz and Elijah in California spending time with the family. And I can tell you its not easy, with the quietness of the home being the hardest part of all.
I am so use to the baby cry or Luz singing some gospel music in the background, that I have become accustomed to it. And now that it is so quiet it just feels unnatural to me.
To keep my self distracted, I had finished my taxes, started producing a YouTube video series titled “Why I am not,” and have have been watching star trek DS9 on netflix and I’m going to start using the gym at the apartment. But it seems like time is just going by so slow without them both.
However, with that said I am happy that they are getting to spend time with the family. When Elijah was born his grandma an aunts did not get to spend much time with him or Luz. And Luz has been so board at home with no job, car or familiar faces. So she needed the break.
Soon, Luz and Elijah will be heading to California to spend time with her family. And I will have the house to my self.
Luz was not sure she wanted to go because she knows I will miss her. Not to mention I often have the tendency to forget things I need at work, like my handcuffs or even my badge. So she worries about me.
But soon, she will be there and I here at home and it will be the first time after Elijah had been born, where she (and our son) will be away. But with Luz not working right now and my work schedule that has me sleeping why she’s taking care of Elijah, she needs this distraction.
